The donor tree was selected by Friends as a perfect way to acknowledge donors who helped build the Library and continuing donors who support the Library. The Friends of the Library raised over 1/2 million dollars as their part of the total amount needed for construction. The boulders of various sizes represent donated amounts of $100,000, $10,000, and $5,000. There are currently 470 leaves on the tree representing varying amounts of $100 to $1,000.
Adding a leaf on the donor tree is a unique way to honor a friend or family member. It is engraved with their name and additional wording of choice. All donations are used to purchase books and other educational materials for the Library and to support programs for the community.
