The Friends of the Solana Beach Library held its Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, for the purpose of electing Officers to the Board of Directors and other appropriate business.
The meeting was held at 5:00 PM at the Solana Beach Library, 157 Stevens Ave., Solana Beach, CA, 92075.
In accordance with the By-laws of the Friends of the Solana Beach Library, and after due diligence, the FOSBL board nominating committee recommended and the board approved the following slate of Officers/Directors to serve a term of two (2) years:
Officers and Directors for Fiscal Years 2026-2028
- President: Jennifer Eveleth
- Vice-President: Melissa Fischel
- Director at Large: Kim Kleber
- Director at Large: Andrea Mathews
The next Annual General Meeting is scheduled for June 29, 2027 5:00 PM.

Our Mission
The Mission of the Friends is to aid and support the Solana Beach branch of the San Diego County Library.
- To maintain a membership of persons interested in the Library
- To focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs
- To enhance the Library’s resources by receiving contributions
- To make donations to the Library in order to encourage literacy, the love of reading, and lifelong learning
- To increase the community’s access to information and knowledge
- To provide a diverse cultural gathering place
