“George Washington, America’s Indispensable Founding Father” by Blaine Davies

Despite a mediocre military record, George Washington became commander of the Continental Army. He did not write the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution, and yet he not only became our first President, but is also justifiably recognized as the Father of Our Country. Join us for a Friends Night Out with Blaine Davies as he explores the life of George Washington and describes why he was the one indispensable man of the American Revolution and the founding of our republic. Blaine Davies has a Master of Arts degree in history and a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He taught U. S. history at Boise State University for 14 years. He enjoys researching and preparing history lectures as well as traveling and reading historical novels in the same locations the stories take place. There is no charge for this event, but to participate you will need to register for the class and obtain Zoom details (you can use the Event Link above).
