Dr. Branislav Slantchev Returns to Update on the War in Ukraine

Professor Slantchev will provide an update on what has happened in the Ukraine/Russia conflict since his previous presentation last September, 2022.

Dr. Slantchev is a Professor of Political Science at UCSD and has taught courses in international relations, national security and game theory for the past 11 years. He studies military coercion, intra-war negotiations, the conduct of war, and war termination. His research is supported by the National Science Foundation.

Slantchev holds a BS Degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University, and a MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Rochester.

He and his family live in Solana Beach and their children attend local schools. His wife is also a Professor of Political Science at UCSD.
